.now Toby and his schoolmates are back from Uganda after 4 incredible weeks. First, they travelled to Budadiri where they were working on an extension at a primary school. They also helped out at a local coffee producer where they learnt about coffee production, and they planted coffee trees at a boys' school, to help generate some income for the school. They also completed a 4-day trek to the top of Mount Elgon (4,321m!).
After that they had a couple of days R&R at Jinja, by Lake Victoria, where they had the chance to go shopping at the local market, take a cruise on the Nile and swim in the guesthouse pool! They also had the luxury of a couple of hours wi-fi each day!!
Next, they headed off to Ziwa Rhino Sanctaury where they were helping with monitoring and conservation programmes, and had some VERY close encounters with the sanctuary's white rhinos! They also took a trip to Murchison Falls, where they visited the falls and took in a game drive. Afterwards they headed back to Ziwa for another couple of days with the rhinos.
They then travelled back to Entebbe where they visited the Ngamba Chimpanzee Sanctuary.
